Water damage often starts quietly. A supply line under the sink drips for weeks. A water heater gives out overnight. A ceiling stain grows a little after every storm. By the time you see it, water has usually soaked into drywall, subflooring, and insulation where you can’t reach it. The sooner it’s dried out properly, the less you’ll have to tear out and rebuild.
Water Rehab & Restoration helps Grand Prairie homeowners and business owners get their property dry, clean, and back to normal. We’re a locally owned DFW company, and our technicians are IICRC certified in water damage restoration (WRT) and applied structural drying (ASD). In most cases we can be at your door within an hour of your call, any time of day, holidays included.
Every job starts with a careful assessment, so we know how far the water has spread before we pull up any flooring. From there, your restoration plan may include:
Filing a claim while your home is torn up is stressful. We work with all major homeowners insurance providers and can give your adjuster the photos, moisture readings, and documentation they need. That makes the process smoother and keeps you focused on your family.
Water Rehab & Restoration also provides fire and smoke damage restoration for Grand Prairie properties. That includes soot cleanup, odor removal, and putting the damaged areas back together. When belongings need to be protected during repairs, our contents packout service carefully packs, moves, and stores them. If we find mold during a water damage job, we can take care of mold removal as part of that restoration project.
Grand Prairie sits on the expansive clay soil common across North Texas. That soil swells when it’s wet and shrinks during our long, dry summers, and the movement can put stress on foundations and the plumbing beneath them, sometimes leading to hidden slab leaks. Spring brings heavy downpours and hail that can test older roofs. Neighborhoods near Johnson Creek, Mountain Creek, and the low ground around Joe Pool Lake can see fast runoff during big storms. And as the hard freeze of February 2021 showed, a few nights below freezing can burst pipes all over town.

We had an attic water heater leak in two story house all the way down to 1st floor. We called Honey Do plumbing in McKinney to replace water heater and Water Rehab to do remediation and demolition and they worked with insurance in a long process to get us a maximum settlement to rebuild our house back to the way it was. Friendly and professional.Posted on Google![]()

These guys did an amazing job. They came in and went right to work, answered all my questions and more extremely professional. Throughout the process, they kept me completely informed and took care of everything and went above and beyond and even doing things They actually didn’t even have to do. I’ve been in the construction industry for over 25 years. I have worked with restoration companies in the past. But I was truly impressed with this company, and I would highly recommend them for anything you need they honest who did amazing jobPosted on Google![]()

Water Rehab and Restoration came in to mitigate water damage and repair the damages. They evaluated the extent of the water damage, including where water had run under the kitchen laminate flooring, and removed everything with water damage - pantry ceiling walls and shelves, kitchen flooring, cabinet toe-kick boards and dining room carpet. They set up dehumidifiers and blowers in the attic (origin of the leak) and below in the kitchen, pantry and dining room. Once everything dried out, their restoration team rebuilt the pantry (walls, ceiling and shelves), including painting, installed new laminate flooring and installed new carpet. The team also installed and painted new trim all along the floor areas. It looks beautiful. I highly recommend their work.Posted on Google![]()

Foundation work caused a couple of water leaks via broken pipes. The plumber we used recommended these guys and they did all the work to immediately assess the situation, clean the mess, dry the area with fans, etc. They worked with the insurance company to reach agreement on the cost for the remediation. Then, they also quoted the work rehabbing the whole job-- tile, paint, carpet, etc. Their tradespeople were talented and conscientious, and the cost was fair. It was not anything I want to go through again, but they made it as painless as possible and they did very good work.Posted on Google![]()

Safety first! Ensure that all electrical sources are off in the affected areas. If possible, stop the source of water. Contact a professional restoration company like Water Rehab & Restoration right away to begin the assessment and water mitigation process.
The length of the restoration process depends on the extent of the damage. It can take anywhere from a couple of days to several weeks. Our team will always give you as much insight as we can, and provide you with an estimated time frame.
Many insurance policies cover water damage restoration, but coverage can vary. We recommend reviewing your policy and consulting with your insurance provider. Our team is experienced in working with insurance companies to streamline the claims process.
Mitigation is the first response, removing standing water and stopping further damage. Restoration is the full process after that, including drying, cleaning, repairs, and rebuilding. Most jobs involve both, back to back, handled by the same team.
Untreated water damage leads to mold growth, warped flooring, weakened drywall, and in some cases structural issues if framing or subflooring stays wet too long. What starts as a same-day fix can turn into a multi-week rebuild the longer it sits.
A musty smell, discoloration on walls or baseboards, or a leak that was left standing for more than a day or two are all signs worth having checked. Mold often grows inside walls or under flooring before it's visible on the surface.
Yes, with the right process. Smoke odor settles into porous materials, so we use specialized cleaning, air scrubbing, and odor neutralizing treatments, since surface cleaning or air fresheners only mask the smell for a while rather than removing it.
A contents packout is when we inventory, remove, clean, and store your belongings while repairs happen in your home. It's typically needed when a room has to be fully cleared out for drying, demolition, restoration, or rebuilding work.
Don’t wait for water to spread. Call Water Rehab & Restoration for 24/7 emergency water damage restoration in Grand Prairie. Our 5-star Google rating comes from your neighbors who called us on a bad day, and we’ll bring the same care to your home or business.
